How Survival Works

Each round, pick one team
Every round (a matchweek for league competitions, or a knockout stage like R16 / QF / SF / FINAL for the World Cup), choose one team playing that round. You can change your pick any time before the window closes.

The pick window closes 30 minutes before kickoff
Picks lock automatically 30 minutes before the round's first match kicks off. Once locked, your pick for that round is final — make sure to lock in a team before the countdown runs out.

Win or advance — you survive
If your picked team wins (or advances on penalties / extra time), you survive to the next round. A draw or a loss eliminates you from the contest. If you don't make a pick before the deadline, you're eliminated automatically.

Survive the final round — become an Ultimate Survivor
Members who are still alive and correctly pick the winner of the final round become Ultimate Survivors. Multiple members can finish as Ultimate Survivors — it's not a single-winner race.

Team Reuse Rules
⚽ Knockout competitions (e.g. FIFA World Cup)
Each team can be picked only once across the whole contest — once you've used a team, it's locked out for every future round, including the FINAL. If you've already used both finalists earlier in the contest, you'll have no valid pick left and will be eliminated.
🏟️ League competitions (e.g. Premier League)
Teams go on a cooldown after you pick them — by default 10 rounds. Once the cooldown elapses, that team becomes pickable again. This lets you cycle through strong teams over a long season instead of running out of fresh picks.

Key Rules
Survival contests are created by Foresee — you can't create one yourself. Join a Survival contest from the official contests list before it starts.
Once eliminated, your run is over for this contest — you'll see "Eliminated in the <round>" on your contest card, but you can keep following the contest to the end.
Penalty shootout and extra-time results count as the advancing team's win for survival purposes — the team that progresses is the team that "won" your pick.
There's no single winner — every member who survives to the end and correctly picks the final's winner is celebrated as an Ultimate Survivor.

Don't forget to pick! If the pick window closes and you haven't selected a team, you're automatically eliminated — same as picking a team that loses.

Pro tip: In knockout contests, save your strongest teams for later rounds — once a team is used, it's gone for good, even in the FINAL. Using up both eventual finalists too early can leave you with no valid pick — and an automatic elimination.
